Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Hampshire, Winter.

Let me start off by saying that I am a blubber. I have a good cry over most things that hit me in the heart, and this wedding was no exception. When Emma and Jon shared their wedding album with me there was so much emotion in each beautiful image that I have to admit, some tears were shed!

It was clear when I met Emma and Jon that they have an incredibly special connection and their wedding day, after months of planning, was going to mean an enormous deal to them both. A winter wedding like no other, with a nod towards a baroque banquet.

There were so many meaningful personal touches on the day, moody lighting, heartfelt music (that grabbed your heart and almost made it burst), readings by their gorgeous children and an overwhelming sense of love for each other, and their families for them.

Sumptuous bouquets featured heavenly scented David Austin Roses, Anemones, Ranunculus, Eucalyptus, a few local Pheasant feathers and all finished off with hand dyed silk ribbons.

Now, where most couples opt for one wedding cake, I have to talk about the cake station of dreams that was created by the ridiculously talented Harriot of Jemima_Cakes (Instagram @Jemima_Cakes.)

Think hand made marshmallows, iced gems, meringue kisses, exquisite little cakes made for favours, and then, the most dramatic deep burgundy two tier beauty finished off with fresh fruit and British Eucalyptus- just stunning.

I can't thank Emma and Jon enough for the creative freedom, their trust and for allowing me to be a part of such a special day. It is one I will never forget! xx
